Julie's Dream was going to be the opening scene of a piece called End — a surrealist opera in the form of an interview podcast.  It depicts a dream that indirectly sets the protagonist, Julie Scott, on the path to a terrifying discovery: the world has already ended, and nobody knows it.  I ended up abandoning the project in 2017, because by then the conceit had come to seem outdated and irrelevant.  In the Trump era, it feels more like the world has already ended and everybody knows it.
