1. Take a page from a piece you're working on.
2. Close your eyes and drop your finger onto the page.
3. Choose the nearest chord or vertical sonority to the spot where you dropped your finger. If there are no chords or vertical sonorities on the page, choose the nearest sound event.
4. Replace it with a dominant ninth chord.
